Fulfilling week with lots of FIRST TIMEs!

Wow... went through this whole week in my mind and I realised that there were so many 'FIRST TIMEs' for me this wk. This whole week was quite tiring but very fulfilling. SOT was definitely different this wk as we had a whole week of mock cellgroups. My first time experiencing 13 cellgroup meetings in five days! But every cellgroup meeting was great as individuals in the team took turn to lead the different items. Everyone really stepped out in faith to preach, lead worship and praise, offering, games and testimony. Unity spirit in the team as we helped one another out with small little details and support. I feel great as the days goes by.

On tuesday, our evaluator was LuLu, our powerful and amazing interpreter. I led worship with Edwin as my gutarist for the first time, not sure and nervous but was really impacted by the feedback. One very insightful feedback was she said that we must be like Paul in Gal2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Immediately, I was reminded of a verse in John15:16 "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you..." I was thinking to myself, if it is Christ who lives in me then shouldn't faith be more evidence than my own fear? So throughout the week, I held on to this rhema word and my faith begin to overtake my fear!

On wednesday, Pst Chee Kiang was the evaluator but I was not schedule to lead anything. But amazingly, Evelyn actually called me randomly from prudential the day before. Such an conincidence. Went for visitation and tuition. On my way back home, I decided to walk a few bus stops so that I can practice my song for 'Praise' on thursday. Thursday, led praise for the first time with Brandon being my guitarist and Guo Rong was the evaluator. Praise wasn't that bad as worship as I felt more confidence.

Friday was my turn to lead welcome which is game. Evaluator was Wendy from CHCC. The team was quite discourage cos feedback wasn't that good, maybe it's the last day and expectation was definitely much higher. Thank God, I only lead game that day and it's was good. Later during the second and third rounds, some of us were actually told to do some sabotageS to test their on-the-spot response. Some were asked to talk loudly and on the phone during worship, some disrupted and slept during preaching while I shared a testimony on how my goldfish died and I prayed for healing with finally someone giving me a new goldfish. I felt quite bad doing such things to sabo my own team-mates but no choice. On the brighter side, it's great to see some members trying to help the one leading by signaling to him/her and I actually told the one leading testimony beforehand not to choose me for testimony but too bad for the third round, everyone that raise up hand must share. Was quite fun and hilarious. So much so that when I went for cg that night and raised hand to share testimony, others begin to laugh thinking tt I will share my goldfish story again!

Saturday was quite a hectic day cos went for tuition in the morning, supposed to be at 11am but I misread the sms and went at 10am. Sigh... I could have stayed longer at home to prepare for the children's church workshop then I could go straight to JW after tt. In the end, I went for tuition then came back home to complete the ppt and notes for the workshop and rushed out for JW service. Was suppose to meet YZ and mel for lunch, we'll meet for dinner next wk ok? JW service was great and thank God tt mel and I managed to be the last 12 people that were able to board the bus to Expo.

Dr.Kim's service was simple yet very filled with anointing. In her, I could see a very simple old lady who have so much faith in God and simple believe God to move mightily. She doesn't shout, scream or pray loudly but there's so much anointing in her that the presence of God was simply beautiful. After the impacting session, went to conduct the workshop at children's church. Didn't expect to have so many ppl as was told that there will be about 15ppl and the turnout was double. Really had fun sharing and learning together. Our first workshop after graduating from Wheelock. Well done, girls!

Throughout the week, there were just so many first times that I really couldn't imagine myself doing. Who could have thought of leading worship, praise and game all in the same week? Who could have thought of conducting a workshop to a crowd of 30+ ppl? It's just simple taking what I have and putting them into the Master's hand. Indeed, "you did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you..." That's the greatest calling of God. Many times, we really do not need to struggle and fight the battle with our own strengths, all we need to know is that God is the one that has choosen and appointed us. With that knowing, victory is already assured!

Time to get back to my Spirit-filled Believer Book assignment due on monday. Exciting week coming up for SOT with Pst Kong teachings and Mike Connel coming this wkend. 12 more weeks in SOT! =)

Celebrations Part 2

28th Apr: Went out to celebrate SL's birthday. Hope you enjoyed yourselves with our company. haha... But I enjoyed myself. Went to Tampines One finally! It is a nice shopping mall with lots of stores that are first time in sg. Didn't shopped much but can go there another day. Went to the Japanese Mache concept resturant there for lunch cum dinner cos we sat there from 4-8pm I think. Ha... We just ordered food and kept on trying different food. Sat there, relaxed, chatted and eat. Oh... and read too. haha... read books on Taiwan as our graduation trip to Taiwan had finally been confirmed! Booked airasia tickets for less than $250 to Taipei. Excited for the trip even though it's still like 4 months away. But reading those books made us realised that we will eat non-stop over there. ha... Time to save up since I completed my building fund! Praise God!

To continue, we decided to go Ikea after the long hours of chit-chat. Just like what my entreprenuer lecturer said, Ikea is really a place that make you buy stuffs that you just feel like buying but may not be of use for the now. haha... So we went and just had fun with the funiture there without buying anything! Nevertheless, we spent money on Ikea food. ha... Even though we were full, we still ordered some food. ha... SL said it's supper!

1st May: Went CG in the morning with the girls while the guys went for men's conference in church. Lead offering that day. Was quite nervous but overall it's been great. Thanks everyone for your encouragement. =) After that went down to Bugis for YEP gathering. Even though YEP team consider of about 30ppl, this gathering still end up with the 5 usual us. lolx. But it's still fun catching up with one another. Went for steamboat dinner and MOF for dessert! The ;ast time I went MOF was at CCK which only sell dessert and I've been wanting to try out their main course but well, no main course for me again cos we just had steamboat before that. I'm amazed by how we still have space for dessert after steamboat. haha... Must be dap's carving for her greentea ice-cream. lolx.

2nd May: Service was superby by Steve Munsey. Guessed everyone was blown away by his style of preaching. It's like watching Theatrical Musical for free! I was so moved by the way he portrait stories, bringing the bible so alive before my eyes. =) After that, went down to Bugis, yes! Bugis again two days in a row for Ex-W194 gathering. My long time cg members since dunno when. Haha... Managed to escape from the steamboat dinner which was pre-planned cos I really can't make myself eat two days of steamboat. So we went to N'YDC instead. Don't you find the photos familiar? Yes, even thought I managed to escape from steamboat but we went MOF again! For? Dessert again! Sigh... I missed my chance to eat the main course again. lolx. But we had fun just catching up. It's nice to meet up once a while. =)

6th May: JM suggested having Picnic. I dunno why but well, I guessed it's the second time I'm having picnic in my life. Picnic doesn't seemed to be very common in sg. Since the girls haven't start work (most of my classmates have started their working lives.), we went ahead to Hort Park for picnic and just chill out in the nature! Didn't spent much that day but we had fun just appreciating nature other than the insects which we dun really enjoy. Walked the whole journey from Hort Park all the way to Henderson Waves. Nice place for some chill-out and games.

Last but not least: Some neoprints taken these few weeks.

Left: Met up with Venus and Zann together with Mel and YZ on 24th Apr since Venus is leaving sg and back to Taiwan after her nine months stay in sg. See you during Sept when I go over. =)
Right: Taken with the YEP girls during the gathering. =)

Celebrations

Back after a month. Didn't have the time to do some updates. I'm in the mist of doing my 'faith' assignment or should I say I'm trying to start on writing the 500words. Would be that difficult I hope. Just like what Weiting have said, really Thank God for putting us through Wheelock with endless assignments and thesis to write everyday. Now we're trained to write but the different is it's not ECH related stuff but spiritual stuff.

Really missed those days of school even though it's just been one month ever since school ended for me. Looking back, it's really God who put me through these two years of studies where I remember so clearly that faithful sunday when I was still comtemplating whether to take up this degree course that Pst.Kong talked about going university. So, what have I been up to this one month ever since school ended other than going for SOT every morning?

Last lap of completing all the final assignments and presentations! Well Done everyone for all the great works and countless nights. Been enjoyable working together. I wonder when will we work together again?

-Endless number of celebrations!-

17th Apr: Farewell for the Pioneer Cohort of Wheelock College, Singapore! It certainly had been a great journey together. Having endless dicussions on Early Childhood both local and overseas. All the ups and downs, all the unity and never-ending spirit in us to make a different in the lives of children and families. Let's continue this race with great tenacity as now that we're trained, it's only the beginning of great changes coming up! Watch out for this 59 ladies!

19th/20th Apr: Went to ASA travel fair to look out for good deals for our graduation trip but no avail cos it's still early as we're planning for Sept. Went ot have dinner at Kenny Roger and the pot pie is great! Ha... The following day, we went down to school to finally hand in the final of final assignment and went to Sunset way for dinner. Quite a nice place with nice food. =)

21st Apr: Went to $10Club for a K-session with the Entrprenuer teams for another round of celebrations. Enjoyed ourselves and SL bought this bottle of drink from Airport when she came back from Xiemen. Can't remember the alcohol% but had fun writing on the bottle after the session. Went to this Korean restuarant for dinner. Super yummy food! Should go there more often. It's somewhere near Smith Street.
